Books, Movies, Food & Hair Products

I have been gushing in my mind about a few things lately that I had to share.

First if you have not read The Glass Castle (Thanks again Jen - I will mail those back to you soon!) you should. I thought it was excellent and unbelievable but excellent still.

Second, I love Wallaby Organic nonfat Vanilla Bean Yogurt. My goodness if you have not tried this stuff do it. NOW. In our town the only place I know that you can get it with some regularity is Bloomingfoods on the west side (east?) The one by K-mart, kay? But I am sure if you live in a bigger city you can find it any Whole Foods or Wild Oats. It is SO good. It is like a dessert to me but with no fat!

Tigi Bed Head Control Freak. If you have funky frizzy hair like mine get this product. It is light, smells good and most importantly it works! And also I mean come on Control Freak for me! It is comical - I laughed when I bought and actually hesitated to buy because it was just TOO close to home ;)

We are Marshall and La Vie En Rose. Two recent Netflix movies I have watched. We are Marshall will make you feel you can do it and life is not that bad and y'all is a football movie! I LOVE football movies so this may not be good for everyone but than again there are the Matthew's in it. Matthew McConaughey and Matthew Fox. Yummers! Now I realize La Vie En Rose is not for everyone. First it is a french flick. ALL subtitles. I would NOT make your spouse watch it unless of course he is an open minded kinda fellow and likes foreign subtitled movies (mine does not...) It is the most amazing story and movie about Edith Paif, a famous French singer. Her life just does seem reasonable and I also thought how lucky our kids are that they are raised now rather then in any country around the turn of the century and there after. It is intense. It made me cry (hormones) but the music - her singing is just moving even though I could not understand a single word she sang.

Nothing like an UN-common theme!

I love The Glass Castle too. If I didn't know it was a true story, I would say NO WAY.

Tessie: me too!

Jen: Ah, sort Parent and Wondertime mags count? I am still trying to plow through Bel Canto and I have a book from a co worker - The Woman with the Tangerine Scarf (?). I am so sure I will be thrilled by this one but I will try it out. I have to go to B&N and find some new ones. Still want to read A Thous. Splendid Suns. What about you? Any new ideas?

I am reading Love in the Time of Cholera and Salem Falls at the same time. Which I normally do not do--but nothing holds my attention for very long lately!
